The opening itself is 4 inches high.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From the floor to the bottom of the first shelf is 8 1/2in and from the floor to the top of the console is 34in. I was surprised how easy this was to assemble, take time to look over the directions first and lay out the pieces as shared in the directions and it will go smoothly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Six inches. It weighs 135 lbs and arrived damaged...the box was really chewed up. Best Buy was great to promptly send out another one with a pre-paid return label for the damaged one. But when the second one arrived, the box was in worse shape than the first one! And some of the parts were dented. Fortunately, we were able to use parts from each box to make one undamaged stand. It's a very nice looking stand being slightly curved and looks very nice with a curved 65" tv mounted above it.
