Whirlpool and Kitchenaid are basically made by the same manufacturer. I just put in a new built in Kitchen aid microwave but got the made by Whirlpool trim kit. In my case I got the 1.6 microwave and used the 27 inch trim kit. Make sure what size microwave you have for the appropriate trim 27 or 30. And all fit well.
