it doesn't really have to be mounted over a stove. The exhaust fan even has a recirculating option so it doesn't need to vent outside either, it'll just stick out a little from your cabinets and vent out the top edge. You just need some good firm wall to mount it on, and you have to be able to screw it to the bottom of the cabinet.
