QuestionI have an older Whirlpool 1.7 cu ft over range microwave WMH32L19AS-0 input 120 v 1050 watts why does newer model WMH31017HS have less features & less watts then old one will it still cook well also the fan goes on & shuts off on own. Recommend to buy

QuestionI just purchased the OTR WMH31017HS 1.7 CU and noticed that there is no vent cover for the fan area above the door. Why would there not be a cover over the fan opening? This is an OTR microwave which sits below a cabinet and anything can fall inside?!?!?

- Answer They connected ours to the same vent that goes out through the roof as the prior microwave. We used to have that hood vent thing too.
