HI Olson, the outlet must be above the WMH32519HV normally in a cabinet. If it is within its 30" width and close to the center, the cord will be long enough. Refer to the drawing on page 3 of the Installation Instructions and you will see where the recommended location is. It can be on the left side of the upper cabinet.
