I agree it is disappointing that there is no outside indicator. The temp alarm will sound if you leave the door open too long. If you want to test it, simply open the freezer and wait. You don't have to activate it. I discovered this when I was moving the items from the old freezer to this one since I had the door open for quite awhile.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main control unit has no adjustments available. I had a lot of problems with the temperature being too WARM. The High Temp Alarm would BEEP about every 2 days. I would hit the Reset button, but then it would happen again a few days later. I don't think it ever got very cold.
