• The cold water is heated inside the washer so it's a one hose washer. I like the feature has a lower energy cost.

• Yes, there's only a cold-water connection to the washer. According to the owner's manual, there's a built-in heater that will heat the water necessary for warm-water wash cycles. It's been two months since we had ours installed, and we're very happy with it.
