“Is this quiet when running? Can you hear humming or is it pretty silent? No asking about ice maker/water line noise but more so overall noise when compressor and fan are running. Does it run frequently?”

The fan is extremely noisy, so much so had to return the fridge. Mine was freestanding, but if you have it surrounded by cabinets maybe it wouldn't be as bad.

We have water softener system which is harder on dispensers so we opted to turn it off although we do keep ice in the door bin. With that being said, the frig is quiet. It is running without any issues we read about in reviews. It is beautiful. Had a mark on a freezer shelf and on the removable dispenser grate but Whirlpool customer service shipped out replacement immediately. As a matter of fact, I found them to be excellent !
