The owners information that came with the fridge say that the one bar is the coldest and the five bar is the warmest, this is in small print and you have to hunt for it. When you find it highlight it for future .

i believe if for more cooler is for more bars....

toogi, one bar would be the lowest (warmer) setting and five bars would be the highest (coldest).
