“Is there an "arm" that comes down to determine if more ice is needed? I see a plastic arm just inside and above the bin, but it is not down nor moves down. Ice maker quit making ice about a month ago. Checked water lines and not frozen. Model WRS588FIHZ00”

• Fireman, WRS588FIHZ00 has style 1 ice maker which is descrbed in the Owner's Manual. This icemaker can be turn off/on by the switch behind the ice bin. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!
