• A:Answer Whirlpool makes a butter dish compartment with front cover that fits this model . The part number is W10324760. I bought this refrigerator only after i found the butter compartment for it. This dish comes installed on a private label brand that whirlpool makes. It can only be ordered by this part number.and the parts system is set up where you can't find it any other way. MIne is on order. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionI read about problems with ice maker wiring breaking within few mon.-1 yr. of installation due to wiring location /construction at lower freezer door hinge. This has been posted several times. Has this been addressed/resolved? Should I cancel purchase?

• A:Answer My refrigerator is only 3 years old and has developed the same issue with the wires in the door breaking. We're in the process of determining if it can be fixed or if we have a nice refrigerator that will not have an ice maker which is not acceptable after only 3 years. We did not purchase an extended warranty and I will not pay $900 for a new door. I think you'd be taking a big risk if you buy this refrigerator.

Q: QuestionAny owner experience the unit start making humming noise? Sometime it is not as loud, but sometimes, it is very loud. I am not talking about the noise when the unit fill up water for ice, it is almost like a semi high pitch noise that goes on and on.

• A:Answer Yes it does! If I would have known about how noisy this Whirlpool side by side is, I wouldn't have purchased it. We have an open floor plan so the noise carries to our family room. We've had it for about 6 months. I thought I might get used to the noise, but I haven't.

• A:Answer Hello KDavis, I've had my fridge for two weeks and getting a replacement on Saturday, however after opening it and looking in the filter door I DID NOT see one in there.....just a block of Styrofoam in its place. I'll be contacting Best Buy today to see if it's supposed to be included because the water filter is, so one would think the air filter would be as well. I will say the ice maker is a bit slow, however it's just me in my home and a full bin lasts me quite awhile.

• A:Answer The filter is located in top right hand corner by the light. It is very easy to change, when you open filter door cartridge pops out. There is a digital panel above the ice/water dispenser pads that lights up and gives you control over options. It has a filter reset when you change out cartridge. I have had this fridge for a couple months now... We personally don't use a lot of ice or water in this household, but overall I am very pleased with this fridge..very cold and lots of room.
