Yes. The door handles do come off. We had to have ours removed to get it through our door and then put back on.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had to have both doors removed to fit into my doorway. It requires one bolt being screwed down on each top corner. Best Buy installers did it easily. Just make sure you use the plastic spacer that comes in the bag to measure the distance between each door when they put the doors back on. This will make sure of a perfect fit. Side by side Whirlpool is a awesome refrigerator. We love it!
