I used a cooler to keep my stuff cool. I had the fridge installed at about 2pm and was able to put my food back in the fridge that night.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sorry to say, Nell, but every fridge and freezer takes some time to come down to the correct temperature, no matter what the model is. Delivery instructions will usually say to allow up to 24 hours for any fridge and freezer to cool down properly, though most only take a few hours. I wouldn't count on a single hour or less from any fridge. You'll want to come up with some other option for your perishables in the meantime. If an ice chest doesn't work for you, though it should if you have ice blocks or ice in there with the food, maybe see if a friend or family member will lend you fridge or freezer use for a day.
