QuestionAgitator?I asked if this machine has a center column agitator as the older models and older years' washing machines do. The big tall thing that takes up over 1 cu ft of space. I was given a gobbledook answer about it having an impellar plate. Answer my question - yes or no please. Does it have the agitator. If you want to then expand on your answer, fine. But how could you possibly expect me to know what the heck an impeller plate is, and that I would know whether or not that is a center column agitator as my 15 year old washer has.?

- Answer No Agitator in the middle, there is a plate at the bottom, (impeller plate) which is very low and covers the bottom of the washer and moves the clothes around to get them clean. It is NOT the center column like the old washers. I hope this helps!

QuestionLid lock problemsMy machine Lid lock light keeps going off causing the machine to shut down, then you have to restart the load all over . Sometimes it takes all day to wash one load, and you have to stay by the machine in case it goes off again. Has this been a problem with this model?

- Answer Dear Sue: As there are many different materials manufactured, the texture, size, weight, etc. of the material will cause the number of articles able to be washed to differ per household. We can inform you; however, that a more accurate determination of load size, is the amount of space taken up by a wash load. This is why most washer capacities are currently rated in terms of cubic feet, not the weight of the load or the number of items per load. With a top-loading washer, you should wait to start the water fill until the washer is loaded, and loosely place dry items into the washer until they reach the top level of the holes in the wash basket. Questionhow many clothes can you wash compared to older washers!Because of the automatic water sensors and other features on this washer, can you continue to wash about the same amount of clothes as with the older same size washers. I could not find anything in the operating instructions about this.
