- Answer I'm not sure about removal, but the ice maker does have an off switch. It also doesn't take up much room. We turned it off and never bothered with connecting the water line.

- Answer Best Buy hooked me up with the standard hose used for Refrigerator water lines. The 5 or 6 foot length should be just fine as you satated that you had a source already located behind the unit, as do I.

QuestionI have the model without a water dispenser. My ice just started to taste bad. Is this a water filter issue? I don't see a filter in the upper right corner. Am I missing something?
