The answer is yes to both. You can get ice and water from the front of the door and even dispense while the fridge door is open. You can easily tilt the ice bucket out when the freezer is open as well if you prefer to get a handful of ice cubes or need to remove the bucket to dump into a cooler or large pitcher.
