• Yes, it gets extremely hot. Just had ours delivered this morning and already called to set up the return. Really disappointed in Whirlpool.

• Yes it gets very hot on the outside, don’t know if it would burn, but does get extremely hot.

• We came to visit our daughter and she asked if the outside of her new stove should get so hot it would burn to the touch. I really can’t believe it should be a question but it’s extremely hot where if a child was to lean on it they would probably get burned to a point they will not do it again. I’m pretty sure our ovens at home don’t get this hot. I don’t like it but I guess it’s been a while since I’ve been around a gas range.
