QuestionI do not understand why the Oven Temperature Calibration is designed to be deceiving, and preheating until tone sounds does not mean it has reached set temperature.

- Answer I was delighted with your answer.... but Whirlpool 800 Number says your answer is incorrect... the stove top burners are not effected by the LOCK feature... our stove get's delivered Friday,,, we'll be interested to try it out (hopefully you're correct). Thanks

- Answer Hi Steve, The Control Lock function blocks the control panel pads to avoid unintended use of cook functions. When the control is locked, only Clock, Oven Light and Timer Set/Off will function.
