Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only relate to my unit. I was told that I definitely needed a new vent kit. My old unit was 24 years old and previous vent kit was not in any condition to be re-used. In regards to the depth question. The dimension given by manufacture only includes the unit itself - none of the vent supplies. Not sure if you are using a sales associate - but gentleman I spoke with showed me everything. He even took my measurements - and measured the unit in front of me.
