There is a requirement for draining, however there is no water supply needed. If this had been a unit with a Steam Feature there would be, however this one does not. A:AnswerIt does not. As an HVAC/R service technician and owner of this product, I’m thankful it doesn’t. Inverters are awesome for efficiency but terrible for service. If your board goes you’re better off replacing the unit, same can be said of any inverter driven compressor. I’d stray away
