Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don’t know the DOE requirements. But you can run this as a single hose configuration. I don’t know how that compares to other single hose units. The flaw in single hose units is that they pull your nicely air conditioned air OUT of the house and blow it out the exhaust pipe to cool the compressor, which results in unconditioned air being sucked into the room through gaps in doors, sockets, light fixtures etc, it basically creates a vacuum effect in the room.
