QuestionIs the DOE SACC rating based on testing in the dual hose or single hose configuration? The DOE rules state that if it can be run as single as an option, it needs to be tested that way.

  This model is a portable air conditioner with a dehumidifying function.The air conditioner dehumidifies in both Cool and Dehumidify modes; anytime the compressor is running, the unit is dehumidifying.

Questioncould i vent this through my ceiling into the attic? does it have to vent outside?

  This item is designed to vent to the outside although you can vent through the ceiling. We do not recommend using the intake hose in this situation.

Questionwill this cool down a 600 sq ft small one bedroom apartment. I know it says 500 but this thing looks like a beast. usually about 75-78 degrees outside and want to set it at around 68-70 or so.

- Answer It will certainly help. I haven’t found a larger capacity portable unit. You could look at window units or the more expensive split units which get more pricey as well as more requirements to install.

QuestionI would be putting this in a room with no windows only a sliding glass door will this work ?

- Answer The hose and window kit will not cover a hole the height of a sliding glass door. You would have to improvise with some lumber or other long thin material to fit the hoses into. You would also have a concern for security of the door unlocked and possible break-ins.
