The hose and window kit will not cover a hole the height of a sliding glass door. You would have to improvise with some lumber or other long thin material to fit the hoses into. You would also have a concern for security of the door unlocked and possible break-ins.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think it would be ideal to put it in a sliding glass door because it would be problematic trying to use the door to come in and out of the house with the AC hoses inserted into the sliding glass door. Plus the window insert pieces that it comes with would not extend far enough up to fit the height of a sliding glass door - it barely fit the height of our window which is about half the height of a standard sliding glass door. Maybe you could buy an extension kit thought that would make it fit a sliding glass door - but I would only suggest trying it if your plan was not to use that sliding glass door. It is a fantastic unit though with a lot of power, we have it in a guest bedroom and it cools most of our upstairs rooms even though the unit itself is not physically in those rooms - it blows the cool air from the guest room throughout the whole upstairs area.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had it in my moms sliding glass door. You’ll need to measure the length of the door and cut a piece of wood to fill the gap. The insert provided isn’t long enough for a door. Take so me measurements and go to Home Depot or Lowe’s. They’ll set you up.
