This has auto drain features.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I drained the first 24 hours just to see how much water was there. Not much. Running about 10 hours a day we emptied once in three weeks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only been using mine for ten days and I only plan to run it on A/C as I don't want to have to empty it. I had a previous portable a/c -not this brand- and when I ran it on dehumidify I had to empting it very often and it leaked .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have no control over the dehumidifier feature, in other words there is no humidistat setting. If the AC feature is on, it is dehumidifying. The manual states that normally the moisture from the dehumidifier is exhausted through through the exhaust vent. In very high humidities, the water may require draining from the machine. Note, the drain pan is only about an inch tall, so it’s capacity is probably 20 ounces. The drain plug is near the bottom of the machine which means you would have to let the water dribble onto a shallow pan which could be messy. I live in the FL panhandle, very humid, no draining needed, yet, in first 2 days of use.
