Does it work on pizza? What if the bottom gaurd is off? null

I would definitely say no. It's not food grade cutting tool.

I tried it and now my mouth is bleeding

As far as I know, the bottom guard is pretty well attached. I'm not sure it comes off. It's best to use a good quality pizza cutter, I think.
