Thanks for asking! Yes, you may connect a standard external hard drive to Xbox Series S to play backward compatible Xbox games from original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Please note that games designed for Xbox Series X/S consoles, or games that have been enhanced for the system, must be installed on its internal SSD.
