“I could not add this to my cart while it was in stock ~20 min ago as I was told there is one more step that I need to complete and to try again. I was never told what that step was and could not add to cart when I tried again. Why could I not add to cart?”

It doesn’t show you that information on a mobile OS, but it is not protection and the link keeps counting down with please wait, as they drop more into the queue the ads to cart goes live again and on the second time it goes live you will be able to add it to cart and check out with the console.
