Yes mine does work during a blackout. The lock gets it’s power from batteries so I keep extra batteries on hand. The lock gives you warnings to replace the batteries in plenty time to keep from getting locked out. I love my lock. It gives me peace of mind since I do not have to mess with keys. Also, it can work off the internet from your phone if necessary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I worried about this myself. The wifi device is actually a separate module from the lock itself. It plugs into a power outlet near the lock. I unplugged the August device from the wall to where there would be no wifi. I was still able to unlock my lock with both passcode and key like normal. So, to answer your question: Yes, this still works during a power outage.
