• I personally don't think you need extra keys. I have had mine for 2 years and never once used the key. I also have only changed the batteries once. It is a great product for keyless entey to the house

• The provided keys with the Yale lock are easily duplicated. Mine is installed in an apartment complex. They duplicated it so they could have immediate access to our apartment in an emergency.
