• This unit can support 11 speakers there are terminals on the back for 9 speakers + 2 subwoofers in other words, 7.2 plus another 2 in a second zone, all wired

• Well, the unit is a 7.2 unit. The “7” means that 7 speakers can be hooked up by wire and the “2” means that two subwoofers can be hooked up to the unit.
