• A:Answer I do not use a line 1 or 2. I only use the Bluetooth with my phone to play SiriusXM music. Which by the way works great with my Bower and Wilkins speakers. These outdoor speakers are the best.

• A:Answer I would say totally. The receiver and speakers are configured for 8 ohms impedance. Use 14 or 16 gauge speaker wire and you'll have good sound.

Q: QuestionThe loudness of the output drops significantly when I switch from Bluetooth to Line 1, CD, Line 3 etc. I have a Samsung DVD player and I'm connected to the front channel output. At max power the volume is much less than the Bluetooth. ?

• A:Answer Bit confused by your question. There is no input on the front of the receiver, just a headphone jack, which is for headphones. To connect to it, you need to connect your source (such as DVD or CD player) to one of the pairs of red and white RCA jacks on the back. This is analog audio in. Many current DVD players don't have analog stereo outputs, just digital. If you don't have red and white outputs on the back of your DVD player you can't connect to this receiver without some kind of an adaptor

Q: QuestionWill this receiver power 4) 8ohm speakers using A+B, without overheating? The system will be ran at moderate levels. I think I can connect each pair in series for 16ohms at the amp, if necessary.

• A:Answer I have done this when I was an installer: use an 4 ohm resistor in line with the positive output of each channel. Makes a better match to the receiver, and lets the resistor (if in a metal package with cooling fins) take more of the heat. If you can find one, a 4 ohm non-inductive resistor works a bit better. Most receivers never notice the metal packaged resistors...and if you open a speaker switcher with a protection circuit, they use metal resistors heatsinked to the metal case.

• A:Answer It does not have a typical subwoofer output driven by an internal crossover, so it really is not meant to be used as a 2.1 receiver. If you have a powered sub with its own internal crossover (left/right speaker inputs on the sub) then you can hook it up in series with the speakers, but I would recommend looking for a different receiver if you are planning on using a subwoofer.

• A:Answer No... you need a commercial sound amp to connect to those type of speakers.. This Yamaha has 8 ohm outputs and is not compatible to 70v speakers

Q: QuestionI need to power three outdoor speakers. Can I put two speakers one on (L) and one on (R) on A channel and only one (L) on the B channel? Obviously I would have to use both A/B at the same time. Would this effect the power given to each speaker?

• A:Answer Yes, this will affect the power given to each speaker. But it will depend on how big ( power draw ), the speakers are as to whether it would be harmful or not.
