A:AnswerYes it does allow you to use your phone with bluetooth. It in options menu under bluetooth you can set your phone up. I have this receiver in my workout area. With the radio even off I can go to my settings on my phone and connect to the receiver under Bluetooth, on my phone, and it will connect and turn the receiver on. I can control volume and playlist all from my phone. I works very well.
A:AnswerI bought an open box listed as in "excellent" condition. It arrived appearing in good condition. However it was DOA. It would not power on. This receiver is a basic (5.1). It does not list any Bluetooth or Wi-Fi intergration, so any app would not likely be of any use.
I returned the this item opting to purchase a more feature filled 9.2 or 5.2.4 with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
