Yes and no... If you want the back of the phone (iPhone6 is aluminum) to be protected put a case on it. This is a single sheet of glass designed for the front of the phone. This is also case friendly, it's made to be paired with a case, but if you don't want one it's perfectly fine without it.

Not for the screen ... This screen protector works great on protecting ur screen. I would buy a case to protect it just in case it falls

The glass screen protector will not protect the device from a fall that lands on the corner of the device, which is one of the most common ways the display screen becomes cracked. Also, with regular use and handling, a case will protect the device from scratches, dings and dirt.
