I had the same problem at first with mine. Page 3 in the instruction book covers pairing to your device. Make sure the iPads Bluetooth is on. Then you have to push and hold the Bluetooth 1 or Bluetooth 2 button for 3 seconds on the keyboard. The blue pairing light with start to flash on the keyboards power button.
