    I always buy HP cartridges for all my printers and I now have both printers at the snowbird residence that use the 61. Print quality is very good, none smudgy. We do have to replace cartridges when we return each winter. Don't know any tricks for saving the ink while we are 8 months at our permanent residence. We also recycle all the cartridges thru our local volunteer library for fundraising.
