    I used HP62 inks on my prior printer. My newer one takes HP61. I had spares for the prior printer but they don't work in this one, MONEY WASTED! USE ONLY THE TYPE OF CARTRIDGES THAT COME WITH YOUR PRINTER.. I used the XLs before because they were available for the HP62 and are available for the HP61. I do quite a lot of printing. . .

    I have previously tried to save money on ink by having my cartridges refilled instead of purchasing new brand-name cartridges. The ink in the refilled units worked fine for a few print jobs but became streaking and blotching long before the cartridge ran out of ink. Don't learn the hard way like I did, purchase genuine HP Ink.
