I made the leap (discovered this was needed last minute) and purchased an external microphone for recording and for gaming sessions, and I am so glad I chose this microphone. The sound quality is crisp, and especially during the muddiness of gaming, I'm able to be heard loud and clear by my teammates. It was super easy to set up, just plug and play. Additionally (and I was not aware of this) you can plug your headphones into the bottom of the microphone, and hear the computer sound through it. I was completely unaware that this was an option when purchasing this microphone, and I was pleasantly surprised. Just one note I would like to add, with the quality that this microphone brings, it is quite heavy. I had purchased this item using the buy online and pick up option, and I had no idea it would be this heavy. -- This is not something that should affect the ability for this microphone to operate properly, but it's something I would have liked to know. Overall, I am super happy with this purchase!

Even though I absolutely love these, the inside connecting cable was quickly destroyed by my usage im guessing. It’s the second yeti microphone that has done this to me.

The Blue Yeti is that mic — the OG and the icon of USB microphones. I’ve had mine for years, and it still delivers crisp, clear, professional-quality sound every single time. I did break the USB port and had to replace it, but Whether I’m recording voiceovers, podcasts, or just hopping on a Zoom call, it always makes me sound studio-ready. It’s easy to use right out of the box, feels solid and well-built, and the adjustable pickup patterns make it super versatile. There’s a reason everyone from streamers to singers has used this mic — it just works. The Blue Yeti walked so every other USB mic could run.

The mic quality is fantastic, but it's really big. I get a lot of compliments on my mic quality now. The problem is that if you don't have a mic arm stand, it sits on your desk at a height that would block part of my screen if I didn't have it off to the side. I use this mic for gaming and chatting with friends on discord.

Can be positioned upright or pointed at a lowered angle for shelf placement. USB connection powers the unit without additional power input source. No additional software required but can be useful for sound editing. May be considered large and heavy. Can be removed from included base frame stand and mounted to a swivel arm apparatus. Sound capture quality is very good for price. Plug and play.

I got this to do mostly podcasts and voice recordings. It is easy to set up and worked without any driver installs. All you have to do is plug it in and select the Yeti as microphone in your recording software. I didn't realize I had to set the speaker to the yeti also to get the monitoring right. Adjusting the volume and sensitivity settings are not really straight forward and take some time to optimize using the OSX sound settings. There are a lot of factors you have to consider, like backgrund noise, vibration of the mic on the table, objects around the mic reflecting sounds, distance from the mic, volume of your own voice, etc. Not really specific to this mic, but nevertheless something you have to do to get the recordings right. The settings the vendor suggested didn't really work for me and I found the documentation a little scarce in that regard. Also, it does not come with any recording software, so you are on your own there. I went with Audacity for sound-only, still looking for the right screen casting software. I like the solid build quality, but it is fairly large and definitely not something I would have sitting on my desk in front of me all the time. So I set it up when I need it and store it off my desk otherwise. I'm overall happy with it, but it didn't really blow me away upon first use. It took quite some time to get set up right, so I didn't experience the initial "wow, this is so much better than the built-in mic".

This is a great high quality USB mic fro anyone wanting to get into Twitch or the YouTube world. This is one of the most common mics you see in the live streaming community due to the quality and ease of use you get for the price. Some recommendations i would make is to get a good Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand that will connect to desk and a pop filter.

The Mic quality is very good and worth the buy, its best to buy this with some sort of sound proofing in you're area of use because the Mic does pick up quite literally everything, the mic is also compatible with most ligtech softwares which allows for major customization, even without the software the mic is really good with the 4 adjustable modes, there was only one major backlash when buying the product which lead me to buying a new cord, which was only 7$ but basically the cord was very loose, and when reading other reviews it seems like this is very common with this mic, but other than the one cord problem the mic is really good
