My wife and I have used Shark vacuums for about 3 years now. They have been well made and easy to use. The first one failed within 3 months after passing warranty with the problem that the circuit board that controls the beater blades failed. They are repairable but we opted to take the easy route and purchase a second Navigator thinking that this was a fluke and we were so pleased with how well it worked when it worked. The second unit failed with the exact same problem in almost the exact same time frame. So we are not exactly all that happy with Shark ATM either. But... We opted for the Hoover Wind Tunnel 3 because it was available for pickup locally at BB and comparably priced to the Shark product. My wife used the Hoover the first time and complained about it being hard to push and difficult to navigate. I picked it up today to use it and was flabbergasted at how poor the quality of the parts were (one attachment broke on first use), how poorly things fit together (had to put duct tape on the handle to avoid cutting my palm) and how poor the suction was in comparison to the Shark. We have a Golden Retriever and the Shark picked up 3 full canisters of dog hair each time we did a full house cleaning. The Hoover never needed emptying even once after doing the entire house and it's canister was smaller than that of the Shark. I knew that the Hoover was not going to be as agile as the Shark before I even started to use it and did not have as much problem with ease of pushing as she did. I think that getting the carpet height adjuster set exactly right is key to easier pushing.

These hoover sweepers were the best back in day even more so now!! I just moved into a beautiful senior loft with carpet and flooring. My old place had no carpet and hard flooring so I needed a new vacuum cleaner, why not the best, HOOVER. It's wonderful!! I would recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Good vacuum, almost too much suction on hard wood floors. my only problem is the attactchments are continuously falling of the unit which is a pain.

This vacuum works exceptionally well, and for the money, it is a fantastic purchase!

Cleans really well. Couple things I don't like 1 it doesn't have the retractable cord, 2. has a switch you have to turn use the hose, 3. little tough to push around. With that said I would buy it again just a couple things I would like to see in the next model.

Wanted to go bag less. The previous vacuum cleaner was too loud. This is a lot better. My son vacuums his room & hallway. That is all he does when it comes to chores on vacuuming. But he loves it better than the previous. And all the attachments stay in place.

this was a replacement for an older windtunnel model which served me well so it was easy to buy the same model again. I am only taking 1 star off because my old model had auto power cord retraction and this one doesn't.

It’s your standard looking vacuum. I love that it works on hardwood floor. The extended hoses are pretty neat too. Cleaning the trash tube is pretty easy and painless. The only downside is that it has numerous extensions without a storage pouch.

This vacuum was easy to put together out of the box. All of the controls work as advertised. Suction is terrific and carpet levels are easy to adjust. The "hose only" operation is easy to use and has plenty of suction. The attachment to clean light/fan blades works perfectly. Would recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for good suction, good pick up and easy to maneuver around.
