Don't cut hair on my neck at all and leave a bad irritation

i ended up swaping it out becuase it eventually stops shaving

First day using shaver head would not lock in place.

If you have a strong beard don't buy it. It takes me 20 min and still not finished

I want to preface this review by saying I am just an ordinary customer who never writes reviews for products. I am so happy with this product I needed to put this review out there. As a bald man (not by choice btw) I used to shave my head 3 days a week with a traditional 5 blade razor. Initially my shaves were close and non irritated but as the hair began to grow back I would notice irritation and sensitivity of my skin especially on my neck and back of my head. Also if I tried to shave more frequently it was a given my skin would be painful and need rest. I’ve tried all sorts of skincare products and techniques to treat my symptoms but nothing worked. I researched electric razors for about two years. I was afraid that I would waste my money and they wouldn’t work for my head also I’m cheap. It seemed like every review I read was rehearsed and company backed. After much frustration I finally purchased my first electric razor the Braun series 9 with the cleaning kit and I have to say I am estatic. I know what your thinking why move right into a Cadillac? Why not start middle of the road as far as price? I figured like most things for my sensitive skin it would be better to just splurge now in hopes that it would be better suited for sensitive skin and head shaving. The shave is incredibly close, about as close as a traditional razor without the irritation. I actually look forward to shaving instead of dreading it as I did before. I can shave my head and neck completely in about 10-15 minutes where as I was taking 20 minutes before. Also I haven’t had any irritation. This shaver gets very close on problem areas such as my neck without any difficulty. I completely recommend this shaver to anyone who has sensitive skin. I don’t go through unappealing growth stages as I did before, I look clean and shaved everyday because I am able to shave every day or every other day without any irritation or sensitivity. I will forever be a Braun fan. This product is absolutely worth the money and seeing as the head cartridges last around 18 months, it pays for itself in no time.

I'm the guy who always reads reviews prior to purchasing a product and leaves absolutely no reviews myself. Well that changes today. I have purchased electric razors in the past and was left very disappointed. I have been a razor blade man all my life. I enjoy the close shave and feel a bit disappointed when I feel a little stubble after I'm finished shaving...I will go back and shave again until I'm all smoothed up...yea, I'm that guy. Anyway, I had purchased an electric shaver in the past...to be specific, it was the Braun series 7. It was at best ok but returned it because if it can't do what my razor can, then I felt mentally, I'm settling for less in terms of quality. I randomly did a search for latest and greatest in electric shavers about 2 weeks ago and saw that Braun came out with a Series 9 model with all the hoopla that it was the best thing next to sliced bread...so I took the initiative to just try it out...heck if it didn't meet up to my expectations, I could just return it like the last one right? Well it has been two weeks of non stop shaving and I am pleased to say that I will not be going back to the razor blade. This bad boy cuts so clean and smooth-I literally feel like I just ran a razor over my face. Seriously...that smooth. The cleaning station has actual lubricant mixed in with the cleaning solution so no need to lubricate manually the foil blades...really well made. Some reviews did criticize on how the material of the chrome is plastc and not steel...are you guys kidding me??? The weight on this thing is so light, I can glide up and down and side to side without feeling arm fatigue. If I wanted to have 7 lbs of casted iron or steel on my electric razor, you'd be dealing with other critiques. But this series 9 is literally what I've been waiting for in terms of the solution to a quick but accurate and high quality shaver. Good job Braun! You've earned a new loyal customer.

My husband loves it! It's more quiet, it has a dryer, and it shaves closer and faster, besides looking pretty sharp

65 years old, worst razor I have ever owned. Motor oscillates before getting up to full speed. Leaves a strip of hair on upper lip, have to turn razor in several angles to get it to cut. Constant ingrown hair on chin.

Quiet motor and high quality materials but poor shave. Foil head missed many hairs and wouldn’t cut hairs more than 3 days old even after numerous pass overs.

This product has many features over its competitors, except its ability to cut. In order to get a near close shave, I had to make several passes .

I have an extremely sensitive skin and have been in search of an electric shaver for years! And I was always surprised how others came to use the previous shavers with such ease and posted good reviews? I have all previous versions including 7 series Braun and a Phillips new series pivot shavers! Nothing comes close to how great of a shave this shaver brings! I have been using the shaver for 7-8 months now, haven’t even changed its original shaving head and it is still perfect. No skin irritation, as close as a Gillette shaver especially with a shaving/wet shave, results are to the skin! Believe me I am very adamant about shaving, so do buy this shaver and I’m sure no one will regret it! At last I didn’t!

I've been shaving with your typical multi-blade cartridge style shaver for the better part of the last 15 years. For multiple reasons, my facial skin has become extremely sensitive (thanks Rosacea, your the best). I went from a daily shaver, to every other day, to ditching shaving all together and just going with a beard trimmer. This was OK, but I got tired of showing up to work and meetings with the constant shadow. After much debate, I decided to take the plunge into the world of electric shaving. After much research, I settled on the Series 9, thinking if the "best" electric shaver in the world couldn't get the job done, than I was just destined to grow a beard. Now, all I can think is, why did I wait so long?!?! This thing kicks some series beard hair backside. I've only used it a couple times so far, and although I'm still in the "2-week adjustment" period, I can tell this is going to change my shaving life. Sure, it wont make your face as smooth as a baby's, but there has been essentially zero irritation. I also hear that each shave gets better and better as your face adjusts to it and seeing as how it is already amazing, I'm looking forward to it getting even better. Bottom line...you will shell out some serious cash for this shaver...but it is 1000% worth it. The cleaning system, although not totally necessary, is great. The shaver is cleaned, dried and left smelling nice for each morning's shave. Worth the extra cost IMO. So if you were like me, and have been debating the purchase, just click on that buy button already...you will not regret it.

Didn't seem to get the beard stubble I was expecting it too. Had to end up using a razor, which is not why I'd buy a 250 electric razor. Very disappointed.

Just bought this shaver the other day and it has transformed shaving for me. I’m 26 and had a Norelco since I was a teen and it was merely fine. I got used to retracing my neck a million times to get that close shave. This shaver will blow you away at how efficient it is. Once, maybe twice over some harder spots and your good to go. Charge and clean base does all the hard work of clearing out shaving gel. My skins looks cleaner and feels so much softer. I emplore anyone who’s interested to buy this, it will make you rethink shaving!

I bought this shaver for my elderly father. It works really well on wrinkled skin and is a quick shave. The charger and cleaning system is in one base. No messy clean up is a bonus. It’s expensive, but worth the money! Definitely recommend this shaver!

Bought a Series 9 to replace my Series 7. It was on sale for the same price as a series 7. I'm very glad that I went for the upgrade. The Series 9 shaves closer and faster, and as a very pleasant surprise, it is much quieter. The old razer shaved my head in about 20 minutes to get a close shave. The Series 9 shaves closer in half the time. I don't have to go over the same spots as often. I would definitely buy this product again.

I’ve had electric razors before but this one right here takes my number one choice. Clean shave and easy to use. Sometimes when I’m running short on time I use the dry shave feature and it works like a charm.

I bought the Series 9 at Best Buy three weeks ago, and have shaved with it each morning since. After 30+ years of using disposable razors, I really wanted to find a less wasteful, more permanent shaving solution. Fair to say I was a little anxious how the shaver would compare, especially considering the high price point, but was reassured by the generous return policy. Without that I might not have gone ahead with a $300 purchase. Got it home, unpacked and read through the materials. Plugged it in and let it charge up an hour. All set, let the shaving experience begin. I shaved "dry" using the factory settings and put the shaver to my face carefully at first, starting at the sides of my chin and neck. That went really smooth, so I shifted to the areas around my mouth, chin and between the upper lip and nose. With each successive pass, I was feeling more and more pleased with the shaver and my choice. At the end of the first shave I put it down and checked the results. Very nice! I called in the sweetheart. She gave it a hands-on double-check and rated it "very smooth!" After each use I open up the shaving head and brush out the bristles. That's it. Nothing more. And it works like a charm. Now after more than 20-days in a row dry shaving, I have to share how satisfied I am. I love this Braun 9 and I'd buy it again and again.
