It can be better

Problem is battery life Wouldn't it be best if they made a battery that you can switch out so you can continue cleaning while the other one charges! Plus it takes like 4 hours to fully charge and you cant use it while its plugged in!! Just bought one from amazon that feels like a dyson and also battery lasts around 50 min and can switch the battery.

Good for small jobs, low battery life.

I have a small house (1150 sq ft) with hardwood floors and when new, with a full charge, it wouldn’t last the whole job. I could get through the kitchen with floor mats and the living room before it ran out of juice. The vacuum is a little over 2 years old and the battery has completely died. I still like it for small jobs and ordered a new battery. For large jobs and extended use I still have to pull out the corded vacuum.

Posted .Hello Glen, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that in your use, you've found the V8 Animal cord-free to be so effective at quick pick-ups around your home. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual, and we'd value the opportunity to go over your machine with you.
