We have hardwood, carpeting and area rugs. No adjusting necessary. It’s cordless, easy to use and the docking station as a must! We bought it on sale so that was an additional plus. It also converts into a hand held tool which makes cleaning the stairs, easy, dusting, and cleaning the couch. We highly recommend this product.

I've never overfilled the bin and have followed all maintenance directions. Dyson said they'll exchange it but it'll take at least a month, and I have to bear the expense of shipping the defective one back to them, not to mention I'll be without a vacuum for a month or more. Not all it's cracked up to be. Save your money.

Posted .Hello Alex, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.
