I didn't expect a whole of difference upgrading from a DC44, however there are a number of functions that improved. Yes it has a bit better suction, but what I like is the ease of detaching implements compared to the DC44. I purchased a hard floor attachment also which really works far better on hard floors then the supplied attachment. Very pleased with purchase.

This vacuum was worth every penny its so useful around the house or apt in my case the 20 minutes max you have to use it may or may not be an issue for you all depends on the size of your place or how detailed you will be when vacuuming other than that i love this vacuum Dyson always has been a favorite brand of mine expensive as heck it may be but worth purchasing it is! I love the two modes you can have powerful suction and max suction really makes you feel like you paid for a top notch vacuum you feel and hear the change when you switch to max suction. Overall i rate it 10/10 get this for Christmas and the person or yourself will love you!

This vacuum sucks (up dust and garbage)! Dyson products are great and this one is no exception. Light, easy to use, and powerful.

I love this dyson vacuum! Pick up debris very well. I only wish it had a green light at the bottom and that you could lock the trigger so it would stay on while vacuuming. But Ive had several other vacuums which were garbage and i would definitely buy this brand again!

Absolutely impressive performance. Able to vacuum a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo, 3 area rugs 2 couches on one charge. Vacuumed the couch for the first time with the included small power brush and I was impressed and grossed out on how much dust and dead skin this little power house lifted from the fabric. 10/10 would recommend.

I hate vacs: heavy, clumsy, lack suction, don’t do their job. The Dyson Animal V8 does it all. Easy to use. Easy to empty. Recharges fairly quickly. Not fast. Picks up most dirt, dig hair, etc. I hope it lasts. Dyson has been really dinked over the years for reliability and repair service. When you buy one, read the manual!!!

I absolutely love this Dyson stick vacuum clearing. It was easy to put together and is very light weight. So taking this vacuum cleaning upstairs is easy for me to do. It has great suction for a stick vacuum cleaner.

I like it but the battery doesn’t long. If they made to change batteries efficiently I would like it more. It also takes to long to charge the battery. It is a nice vacuum but you can only clean with it for like 20 minutes and the battery is dead. Maybe the V12 is a lot better

The weight is perfect and it is powerful! Great for hardwood floors, the couch, and carpets. I do wish the battery lasted longer but I’ll take a shorter battery life over a heavier model.

It’s lightweight with a a lot of suction. I would never go back to a canister vacuum. I would definitely buy it again.

I kind of have a slight obsession with vacuums. I have no idea why but I bought several vacuums a year for the last 6 years. I tried the budget ones which work well. I tried the ones that work like a Dyson and I tried several stick vacs. After purchasing this I believe I have found what I have been looking for. I can use it on carpet or on the hardwood. I can easily use it to clean under the bed and even use it to clean the steps. This is honestly the Swiss army knife of vacuums. I didn't get the news model because we have a cat and it does say pet. Also there are newer ones but the difference is really only the battery life. With the battery I can with normal suction do the finished basement. The steps the kitchen dining room then I turn on the power suction and do the living room carpet since our cat lays there all the time. Then I remove the brush and use the nozzle for the steps then get to the top of the steps attach the brush and do the top of the steps on maximum. Then I take it off maximum and do the bedroom the closet and the spare room. Then the bathroom. A total time of 20 minutes. I charge it then do the basement and the steps and the set it back on the charger.

My sister and husband like the ease of use of the stick vac but with certain dog hair types it will not pick up.

Overall, a good handheld vacuum that has well above average suction and thoroughly cleans a variety of different carpets. My only complaint is it seems like the battery does not hold a charge for very long considering the price of the overall unit.

Incredibly convenient and effective. I was concerned at first seeing that it was battery powered. I was not really convinced that it had the power needed to match wired competitors but it easily establishes itself among the best. It is very light to use and perfect for someone like me that has back problems. To be able to switch between the attachments seamlessly is one of its best features. Dyson has gained another happy customer.

Happy with this vacuum. Works well. It’s really convenient. Get the tower from Dyson that allows you to store it.

I love this vacuum it’s very light weight so I can use only one hand also I can vacuum my car really quick with max mode. So the most important that it doesn’t have a cord

This vacuum is light, agile, and effective. Wish I bought this when it first came out. Very happy with it.
