Awesome Optical Cable

Good insulation

They are a little strand, that if bent, destroys the cable. This version is much more robust and feels a lot safe to handle. HOWEVER, if you want Dolby atmos, optical doesn't support that. Best case, is use hdmi. Unfortunately I'm stuck with optical at the moment.

It worked perfectly to hear surround sound. The quality of sound is good on all speakers. However, we do have to crank the receiver about 10-15 volume numbers louder than it was with the older Samsung tv. That's easy enough! This optical cord was a very inexpensive way to fix our surround sound system problem. Otherwise we would have had to spend hundreds of dollars to buy a new receiver. It works with our older dvd player and the tv.
