I attached it to my older tuner/amp. and to my new Samsung TV that has a special hook-up box. The optical audio cable did the job and now I am enjoying my new TV with my many years old surround sound system.

Very effective. I had a difficult time trying to plug one end. Turns out that I didn’t remove the little clear plastic piece cover, my bad.
