MUCH better sound, especially in the rear surround sound speakers than hdmi. The dogs are still getting used to it, but we love it!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.brother in law asked me to troubleshoot why the audio from his tv stopped playing on his sonos system. i quickly discovered their cats had chewed through the optical audio cable. this item was totally worth it due to it's thicker, much higher quality construction as opposed the the thin small cheap optical cables that come with devices. definitely recommend.

Although, I did feel that the soundbar had too much bass and not enough middle or upper range to it.

For a low budget option it really works good and the sound it really good. I have been using it for a little while now and have no problems out of it. I is differently worth checking out if you are not wanting to spend a lot of money.
