This is a must have with your surface pro. I do hate that we have to buy all these extra pieces but it is the only way to make your laptop into a tablet.

I went through 3 third-party adapters for my surface and neither of them allowed me to display past 1080p. This adapter worked with my 2K monitor immediately without playing with settings.

hooks up effortlessly and simple to use. picture from the surface book to tv looks amazing, on mine at least. it looks better on my tv than it does on the surface book.

Works well.I thought I needed this to get it to transmit Audio and Video from the Surface to my Projector and Surround Sound system but turns out it's a setting you need to change and really any adapter should do the trick. Buy if you want something good and reliable but realize there are other options out there.

This adapter came in really handy while on the road teaching a class. Most organizations only have HDMI inputs on projectors, and this adapter allows for the connection from a surface machine (mini displayPort) to HDMI. Just a little pricey. I'd love if it was under 20 bucks.

It's a dongle. It just works. Could be cheaper but if you need it, you need it.
