This ink is trash!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will never buy another HP inkjet again. Their ink is garbage now!! If you use the printer often, the ink will run out very quickly. If you don't use it often enough, the ink cartridges dry out and put lines through everything! Either way, HP gets more of your money for buying new cartridges constantly!! Screw you HP I'm buying a laser printer.... and definitely not your brand!!

Cartridges Dry too quick. What a waste
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only problem with these ink cartridges in that they dry up fast if you don’t use them. I won’t be buying another HP printer. I have seen the eco friendly printer that you can fill the cartridges yourself.

Posted .Hi Lee,
I am very sorry if you are disappointed that the cartridges seem to dry up when you aren't printing much. I do have some tips for you that might help though.
If you only print occasionally, it is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. That will save electricity and also the drop of ink that the printer has to use occasionally to keep the tiny inkjet nozzles cleared.
However, it is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridge is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogging. The clogs can be cleaned using the routine from the printer's menu, but it wastes some ink.
Speaking of waste, HP is very good about trying to protect the environment. Our plants and offices have won awards for reduction of waste and recycling efforts. HP also has the Planet Partners program which recycles cartridges, printers and other product waste:
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/hp-information/recycling/ink-toner.html
If it appears that poor performance from the cartridge is due to a defect or you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, please contact the seller.
According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement. BLACK INK CARTRIDGE
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP64 black ink cartridge. Goes great with the new HP printer we bought a few months ago. Only issue we had was the quick replacement of the cartridge. Larger cartridge is available but double the price.

Posted .Hello,
Glad you like the quality, but I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed with how quickly you have had to change the cartridge. Many find that the XL version is a better value.
Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
- You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Instant Ink might be worth trying. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com
If it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can contact the seller about that.

Ink for my printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't last long enough. The cost needs to match the product
I would recommend this to a friendBrand response from HP Team
Posted .Hello there,
I understand the cost is not matching your results. I understand your desire to have less cost per page. I hope to give your the information to satisfy your needs. First, did you check the ink cartridge? As a precaution, look for leaks and clean the printhead with a damp cloth. When you finish using the printer, could you turn it off and unplug it? If there are any questions, HP support is available to help.

Does the job, but not for long.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These ink cartridges provide ink, but dry up too quickly. I’ve never gotten my money’s worth out of them.

Posted .Hi,
I am sorry that the cartridges you got performed so poorly. I can understand why you are disappointed with them.
Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you get more printouts next time without too much extra effort:
- A high-density print (like an image or graph) will use the ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. If you print a lot of photos and such, it is likely that Instant Ink will be a good option for you, since you pay by the page, not for cartridges. Details at: instantink.com
- A lot of black is used in most printouts, so it usually runs out faster. However, using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.
When it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller about it.
