Very easy install and easy to use. Very pleased with this product.

BestBuy website reported Viper DS4 to be incompatible with Camry 2004. The St Cloud store said it is best for my car. To assert the discrepancy, I went to Maple Grove store and was told the same as the website, CompuStar would work better. However, since I live in St Cloud, and with the Geek Squad installers insistence on the Viper, I went with what they said to be their expertise over the years. I made a big mistake! A different BB store auto service installer/expert evaluated the system and told me that Viper has quirks and that it has been in the market for several years; its flaws have not been fixed. After testing my car and communicating with BB tech support, he arrived at the original conclusion I knew since the beginning; CompuStar is more stable and would have worked flawlessly with my car; specifically the “pit stop” mode. How on earth do these things happen without being noticed by responsible managers. I paid for a product that doesn’t peform all of its functions, and the technicians at St Cloud dismissed my concerns saying first it was the software, later claimed it was my car’s “Break light”, finally said it was its model.

Not a good overall experience. Originally purchased the Compustar remote starter. We had a date scheduled for the install on 12/22. Received a call that we had to reschedule do to an illness. The next avail time was a month later??? Received a call a few days prior to the new install date from a geek squad confirming the type of car and date of the install to make sure they had all required parts for the install. It's a Chevy impala so it's nothing rare. The date came for the install, when arrived we were informed we had to change to this viper product because they didnt have the install parts they needed for the compustar. Was told the viper is much better product and it costs more so what a bargain. Went in the store and noticed it was the same price on the shelf?? Install was scheduled for aprox 3 hours. 4 and half hours later it was done. Got home that day and went out that night and the dash lights never came on?? Called the store and waited and waited and waited and nobody could help me. Called the geek squad number that called me originally and she scheduled me another 3 weeks later to bring it back in. Had a note for a manager to contact me and never happened. The gentleman that fixed the issue when we brought it back did a great job. Another 3 hours but its fixed!

My Viper Remote Start worked fine at first. Then it would start the car then shut off after a few seconds. Sometimes it would work then sometimes shut off. I have scheduled a warranty repair.

Awesome remote start really helps during the summer

The installers were great. My starter went out a couple days after installation. I had to take it back in so they could adjust the system to account for the voltage drop difference between the old and new. They adjusted again for cold morning starts. They made sure we were happy with our new product.

This is very good and sophisticated remote starter, which has lots of good features, but the installers at Best Buy are less mature/educated then 5th grader. They didn't install several relays to make all the features work. Very por installation.
