I always buy hyperx, and I’ve never had this problem before but this one is a complete dud. I can barely hear anything out of it and the microphone never works. It’s basically useless and doesn’t do anything it’s supposed to do. I don’t know that I’ve ever bought one exactly like this so maybe buy one of the other hyper X products. I bought several of those and never had a problem. Now for the second part of this review, Best Buy totally screwed me over on this because they only gave me 17 days to return this. We weren’t using it very much so we didn’t know until the 30th day that it didn’t work. It was intermittently working and it just takes a while to figure out that it’s just never gonna work right. We had to test it on several different controllers, for example. They did not give us time to do all that and now I have to see if I can get factory warranty on it because Best Buy didn’t even give me 30 days. They’ve always given me at least 30 days so I didn’t know that was gonna happen. I didn’t know. I only had a couple of weeks to test this out. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know when they change that or if it’s only directed towards certain products but be careful. They don’t want to take responsibility for anything. I shop here all the time and I’m very disappointed.

I purchased my Hyperx Clouds Alpha Pro headset on 11/20/21 on sale for $59.95 and I'm very pleased with the sound quality from the headset while gaming on my Xbox Series X. Compared to the Turtle Beach headsets I've been using for several years, the bass from the Cloud Alpha Pro sounds deep and not to boomy which I like. The mids and highs sounds great and not distorted thanks to the dual chambers when I turn the volume up on my controller. I have my Hyperx headset connected to the 3.5mm input on my turtle beach audio adapter on my Xbox controller that I used to add or reduce the amount of bass on the Hyperx headset while gaming. I have no opinion regarding how well the microphone works since I don't chat while online gaming, thus, I have the microphone detached from the headset while gaming. Overall, I am satisfied with purchase.
