I keep two batteries in my Spot light cam. Once one of the battery fall below 30 % I replace it. Not sure how long it last. I use it inside of my home. When I'm home I cover it up so that it won't keep coming on. I uncover it once I leave my home.

I like that it's also interchangeable with my Ring Doorbell battery when I need to take it out to charge it.

It would be better if it had a charge percent indicator like many of my rechargeable lithium ion batteries. It does have a fully charged indicator, but losses some charge while not installed.

My initial battery drained quickly until I adjusted the settings and took a long time to re-charge. Well worth spending $30 to have the back-up.

The cool thing is they give you the cables and screwdriver to make it easy. I eventually went to solar panels for my outdoor items so I have spares that I keep charged.

I purchased it and have since used it while my other battery charges.

So if your battery gets low, you can take a minute to exchange batteries instead of keeping the doorbell camera offline for hours while you charge the battery
